City to host Toffees on opening day of the new season

NORWICH CITY will begin their 2013-14 Barclays Premier League campaign with a home game against Everton on Saturday August 17.

The Canaries will welcome the Merseysiders to Carrow Road for Roberto Martinez’s first match in charge, with a trip to newly-promoted Hull City the first away clash of the season a week later.

City will then host Southampton on August 31 before visiting Tottenham Hotspur a fortnight later after the season’s first international break.

A busy festive period at Carrow Road sees Chris Hughton’s side welcome Fulham on Boxing Day and then Premier League champions Manchester United on December 28, with an away game against Crystal Palace pencilled in for New Year’s Day.

The Canaries face a tough-looking run-in, with a home match against Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool on April 19 being followed by consecutive trips to Manchester United (April 26) and Chelsea (May 3).

City will then wrap the season up by hosting Arsenal on May 11.
