Midfielder hopes Canaries can regain momentum

ALEX Tettey is under no illusions regarding the magnitude of Norwich City’s eight remaining Premier League matches this season.

The Norwegian international also knows the team needs to improve on last weekend’s performance against Southampton – and believes they can do just that against Sunderland this weekend.

“We were very disappointed after Southampton. We went there with the intention of doing the things we had practised in training, but obviously when it came to the game it didn’t happen,” said Tettey when speaking exclusively to Norwich City TV on Thursday.

“We have been good at home in recent games so hopefully we can turn that disappointment into something good on Saturday.

“We feel comfortable playing at Carrow Road. We know that at home we have the fans behind us and we just have to go and perform at 100%.

“I’m excited because every game now is like a cup final. Each is important all the way to the end.”

While the 27-year-old is delighted to be back in the fold after missing a large portion of the campaign through injury, he made it clear that the Club’s success comes above any individual desires.

“It’s very good to be back playing and feeling almost 100%. I’m pleased with that, but nowadays it’s about the team and not about the individual,” he added.

“Everybody who is playing in that team should give everything they’ve got to make sure we achieve what we want at the end of the season.”
