Can City's Under-16s make it three in a row?
DARREN Huckerby is targeting a Hospital Cup hat-trick for Norwich City's Under-16s this Thursday.
Huckerby's youngsters take on local rivals Ipswich Town at Portman Road (7.30pm) hoping for their third successive triumph after the competition's return in 2015.
Previewing the game, the City legend said: "You don't often get the chance to play at a stadium so that's a big test for them but I feel confident that if we play as well as we can do that we'll cause them problems.
"Every game against Ipswich is a big game, whether it's a friendly, an Under-9s game or a first-team competitive game. It should mean the same thing.
"It's the third time we've done it so we'll be looking to continue our victorious run."
City won 3-0 on Ipswich's turf two years ago and followed that up with a 2-1 victory at Carrow Road in 2016, Glenn Middleton and Anthony Spyrou netting the goals.
Huckerby says this year's group of players are prepared for the challenge, adding: "We've had a good season, we've been solid all season.
"We've not been dominated by anybody all the way through. When the group is fully together, we're a strong team.
"It will be nice to get the whole squad together and hopefully do a number on the old enemy. We've got a few Under-15s playing so it'll be a nice mixture of younger ones and older ones."
Entry for the match costs £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for Under-16s with tickets to be sold on the turnstiles on the evening.
The game will be 40 minutes each way, with extra-time and penalties if the scores are level.
