CITY defender Leon Barnett has joined Championship promotion hopefuls Cardiff City on a one-month loan deal.
The City defender will join up with Malky Mackay’s side tomorrow and could be available for their clash with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday.
Barnett has plenty of experience of a promotion run-in having been pivotal during his debut season with the Canaries during the 2010-11 promotion campaign, going on to make 55 appearances for the Club so far.
Barnett made 18 appearances for the Canaries during their return to the Premier League last season and was a regular during City’s start to the current campaign, appearing 11 times for the Club in all competitions.
Defender Leon Barnett initially joined the Canaries on-loan from West Bromwich Albion on August 26, 2010.
And after a successful few months a permanent deal was agreed with the Baggies for Barnett to stay at Carrow Road from January 2011 when he put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year contract.
