MICHEE Efete is expecting a stern test when Norwich City's Development squad face Chelsea on Wednesday evening (7:05pm) at Aldershot's Recreation Ground.
City's youngsters endured a difficult time of things in their last outing, eventually being soundly beaten by a strong Manchester United side
which featured a number of senior internationals.
Speaking ahead of their latest Barclays Under-21s Premier League clash, Efete told canaries.co.uk: "We're looking forward to it after the United game, because we want to put things right.
"In that match we tried to do everything we could, but it was difficult against a side with their experience. We'll take lessons from that, and from facing players like Memphis Depay, into our future games.
"Obviously we have a very young team, so we know it's going to be a tough against Chelsea. They have players who could be in other teams' senior sides, which means it's going to be a good test for us."
The 18-year-old defender, who has formed a regular and reliable part of Dmitri Halajko's side so far this term, added: "I'm enjoying it because last year when I was a second-year scholar I was in and out of the Under-21s team.
"That gave me experience ahead of this season, and my versatility has enabled me to play a few different positions. I used to play with some of the first-year scholars last year, so I've given them advice on stepping up a level.
"Some of them have been with us since the start of the season so they already know what to do. On the other hand some of them have stepped up recently, and as a group we're looking to kick on now."
