Tettey joins Pilkington and Hoolahan for international duty

CITY midfielder Alexander Tettey has been called up by Norway for their upcoming friendly international match against Ukraine on February 6.

Looking to add to his 14 international caps for his country, the City midfielder will meet up with Egil Olsen's squad  for their match in Sevilla's Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in Spain, following the Canaries' clash with Queens Park Rangers on February 2.

Fellow midfield pair Wes Hoolahan and Anthony Pilkington have been called up by the Republic of Ireland for their international friendly clash with Poland in February.

This is a first call up for City winger Pilkington who qualifies through his Irish grandmother, and follows a cap for Ireland’s under-21s in a 3-0 win over Lithuania in February 2008.

Hoolahan will join up with Trappatoni’s squad once again having picked up his second international cap in a 1-0 defeat to Greece in November; the City playmaker played the second half for the Republic, his first appearance since April 2008.

The pair will meet up with the squad following the Canaries’ away clash with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on February 2, ready to face Poland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on February 6, 7.45pm kick-off.

Young twins Josh and Jacob Murphy have also been called up to Noel Blake’s England under-19 squad for their clash with Denmark on February 5 at Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium.

Academy youngster Kyle Callan-McFadden has also been called-up by Republic of Ireland under-19 manager Paul Doolin for their clash with the Czech Republic in Longford on February 5.
