Scans confirm no long-term injury

CITY boss Chris Hughton has confirmed scans carried out on the injured knee/shin of striker Gary Hooper have come back all-clear.

Hooper was stretchered off the pitch at Carrow Road on Saturday during the 2-0 win over Panathinaikos in City's final pre-season friendly.

Hughton told canaries.co.uk: "Both the X-ray and the scan are fine and confirm there is no fracture or any other problem which might indicate a long-term injury.

"There is still some bruising Gary suffered from the knock and he will continue to be monitored and assessed over the days ahead."
