CITY midfielder Simon Lappin has joined Malky Mackay’s npower Championship promotion chasers Cardiff City on an emergency six-week loan deal.
The deal agreed between the both clubs means Lappin will join the Bluebirds with immediate effect and will be available for selection for Mackay’s side ahead of their away trip to Barnsley this Saturday.
Affectionately known as the ‘King of Spain’ by the Yellow Army, Lappin is in his seventh season with the Canaries since arriving at Carrow Road in January 2007.
He has made 125 appearances for City scoring four goals, the most recent of which came in City’s Capital One Cup third round win over Scunthorpe United in August, ending nearly a five year wait for a Norwich goal.
The Scot made the most appearances in the League One 2009-10 promotion-winning season, playing in 44 of the 46 League One games.
