returns from suspension to boost the Canaries' midfield for this Saturday's game away to Premier League leaders Leicester City.
The Norway international has missed City's last two matches after picking up ten yellow cards over the course of the campaign.
Boss Alex Neil, speaking to Norwich City TV on Friday, believes Tettey's return puts his team in better shape for this weekend's test against the high-flying Foxes.
"It's frustrating that Al gets bookings and obviously misses games at times, it doesn't do us any favours because he's a big player for us," said Neil.
"The fact we've got him back certainly helps, and it allows us to be stronger going into the game."
(knee) is set to be City's only injury absentee at the King Power Stadium, with Vadis Odjidja Ofoe
getting over an ankle issue in time.
"Andre's still not quite fully recovered. He's still one that's a doubt for Saturday. Other than him, the remainder of the squad is ok.
"Vadis was struggling a week or so ago with his ankle, but he's ok."
