CITY striker Chris Martin has extended his loan spell at League One club Swindon Town until February 2.
The City striker has signed a 28-day loan extension having made eight appearances for Paolo Di Canio’s side during his initial three-month loan spell at the County Ground.
Despite not yet getting on the score-sheet for the Robins, the front-man has helped guide the Robins’ to fifth in League One just five points away from the automatic promotion places.
This is Martin’s third spell out on loan having scored seven times for Championship Crystal Palace last campaign.
Since making his City debut as a substitute against Wolves at Carrow Road in January 2007, Martin has gone on to make 117 appearances for the Club, scoring 34 goals – 23 of which came in the League One title winning 2009-10 campaign.
The Beccles-born front man also had a loan spell with City’s FA Cup fourth round opponents Luton Town in 2008, where he played a key role in that season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory at Wembley, scoring in a 3-2 extra-time victory over Scunthorpe United.
