NORWICH City have agreed a deal for striker Chris Martin to join Swindon Town on loan until January 5, 2013.
The 24-year-old, who spent time on-loan with Crystal Palace last term, heads to the County Ground with Paolo Di Canio’s League One side currently sitting in sixth position in the table.
Martin scored seven times for the Eagles last campaign; however with first-team opportunities limited for the Academy graduate so far this season, some game time with Di Canio’s side will certainly come in useful.
Since making his City debut as a substitute against Wolves at Carrow Road in January 2007, Martin has gone on to make 117 appearances for the Club, scoring 34 goals – 23 of which came in the League One title winning 2009-10 campaign.
The Beccles-born front man also had a loan spell with Luton Town in 2008, where he played a key role in that season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory at Wembley, in which he scored in a 3-2 extra-time victory over Scunthorpe United.
