Tickets on general sale

NORWICH City will welcome Spanish side Real Sociedad to Carrow Road as part of their preparations for the 2013-14 campaign, the Club can today confirm.

The Canaries will face the La Liga outfit, who will compete in next year’s UEFA Champions League, in a friendly match on Tuesday August 6, 7.45pm kick-off.

It is the sixth pre-season match to be announced for Chris Hughton’s side, with the three-game tour of the United States followed by trips to Brighton & Hove Albion and Sporting Braga.

It will be City’s first clash against ‘La Real’ since a testimonial match for Peter Mendham back in August 1987. They finished fourth in La Liga in 2012-13 and secured their spot in the qualifying stages of Europe’s elite competition after beating Deportivo on the final day of season.

They will be without the manager who guided them there, though, after Philippe Montanier left recently to take charge of Ligue One side Rennes – his assistant Jagoba Arrasate has assumed the helm.

Their squad includes former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela and the highly-rated central defender Inigo Martinez, while Canaries full-back Javier Garrido began his career at Anoeta.

Tickets for this game are available on general sale priced at £15 for adults, £10 for over-65s, £5 for Under-17s and £1 for under-12s. Upper tiers are not available for this game.

Please call 0844 826 1902, go online, or visit the Carrow Road ticket office or official stores at Chapelfield and The Mall to purchase.

Matchday hospitality will also be available - please call 0844 826 1902 option two or email for more information.
