CITY’S Under-18s registered a 4-3 away win over Middlesbrough to maintain their unbeaten start to the second phase of FA Premier Academy League fixtures.
The young Canaries were off to the best possible of starts taking the lead after only three minutes through Rod Young. But Boro created a first-half equaliser which saw the teams go in 1-1 at the break.
However, the game was certainly to prove eventful with a further five goals – City went ahead again through Cameron McGeehan before the north-east side pegged them back and took the lead themselves at 3-2.
But in a positive display Neil Adams’ side pushed on again and a frenetic final 10 minutes saw them equalise through a McGeehan penalty and then Reece Hall Johnson registered the winning goal.
Speaking after the game Neil Adams said: “It was a really good performance in possession and we moved and passed the ball well. We were a little vulnerable to the counter attack but overall I’m pleased with the way we played, we deserved the win and could have scored some more goals.”
