YOUNG City ‘keeper Jed Steer has joined Blue Square Premier side Cambridge United on an initial one-month loan deal.
Steer joins the U’s to gain vital first-team experience and is set to return to Carrow Road on December 8.
Jed made his senior competitive debut for the Canaries in their 2-1 FA Cup Fourth Round win over West Brom last season, and after a fine performance at The Hawthorns featured again in the fifth round match against Leicester City.
With fellow 'keeper Declan Rudd picking up an injury Jed was named on the bench for the majority of the second-half of the 2011-12 season.
This is the Academy products’ second spell out on-loan following a three-month stint at League One side Yeovil Town last season, where he amassed an impressive 14 appearances in total.
Steer will join up with United ready to face Macclesfield Town at the Abbey Stadium this weekend, before another home clash with Tamworth, an away trip to Ebbsfleet and a final home clash with Gateshead during his spell on-loan.
