Eaton-Collins strikes twice to earn Neil Adams' side win

TWO goals from Jamie Eaton-Collins were enough for Norwich City's Under-18s to secure a routine 2-0 victory over Stoke City at Colney.

The forward struck in either half to help Neil Adams' team record their third league win of the season on Saturday morning.

Adams started with Eaton-Collins partnering Rhys Browne in attack, while under-16 Aston Oxborough was named in goal.

Norwich were the better side from the off, and after Cameron King headed over from six yards, they then took a deserved lead on 15 minutes.

Harrison Heath mishit his pass but Eaton-Collins made sure to win it, before breaking into the box and shooting low past Dominic Kurasik.

Stoke's first spell of pressure came midway through the half, with their only opportunity coming through Ryan Shields, who forced a low save from Oxborough.

Eaton-Collins should have added a second two minutes before half-time but was this time prevented by Kurasik, who palmed his shot over the crossbar.

He made up for it midway through the second half however - not long after Cameron Norman had flicked a header wide, Norman himself turned provider as he whipped in a brilliant cross from the right that Eaton-Collins met first time to fire into the roof of the net.

Stoke never really threatened the Canaries' goal, and City were only prevented from getting a third when Kurasik denied first Norman and then Heath at the end.
