is set to be out for a 'few weeks' with the ankle problem he sustained against Manchester City, but Alex Neil is hopeful that he will return in time to play a part again this season.
Redmond was substituted in the first half at Carrow Road last Saturday, becoming the latest in a series of Canaries to pick up an injury problem in recent weeks.
Neil told Norwich City TV on Friday: "He's rolled his ankle and he's going to be out for a few weeks. He's in the position now where he needs to recover from this and it really depends on how quickly he can get himself back."
City's boss revealed that Robbie Brady
(calf) and Sebastien Bassong
are in line to return to the squad for Saturday's visit to West Bromwich Albion, but there are doubts over Ryan Bennett
and a late call will be made on Steven Naismith
"Robbie's fine. He trained and will be available for the game, and Seb has trained all week so he should be fine too, there shouldn't be any issues," added Neil.
"Steven did a bit of training on Thursday, and we will monitor him on Friday with a view to tomorrow."
(ankle), meanwhile, will miss the rest of the season after undergoing successful surgery last week.
