ACADEMY MATTERS
Good evening everybody and welcome back to Carrow Road for tonight's match against Queens Park Rangers.
This week I am pleased to introduce to you all our latest recruit at scholarship level, Johnbull Omoregie.
Johnbull, whose preferred position is in central midfield, has spent the last few weeks on trial with our youth team and has impressed myself and my Academy staff enough to be offered a scholarship at Norwich City.
Johnbull has spent time at other clubs, the last of which was Manchester City and following his release last summer we invited him to Colney to spend some time on trial with us.
From his first day he applied himself very well in training and also in the matches he has taken part in during his trial period. He thoroughly deserved his scholarship offer, which we were very pleased to see him accept.
Johnbull has settled in well, quickly making friends amongst the youth team and feeling part of the group, I would like to thank the rest of the lads for making Johnbull feel so welcome and helping him settle in with no problems.
Johnbull must not now rest on his laurels, he must continue to work hard day in, day out and impress the senior staff with his attitude around the training ground and his performances on the pitch. Competition is high amongst the youth team group in central midfield and it's up to Johnbull to stake a claim for one of the spots available on a regular basis.
On behalf of all involved with the Academy, I would like to officially congratulate Johnbull on the signing of his scholarship and we all hope this is the first of many contracts he will sign during his time at Norwich City Football Club.
Enjoy the game.
