Some good news this week for two graduates of the Academy scheme.
Firstly, Chris Martin was named as the Football League's Young Player of the Month for January.
We are all very proud of how well Chris has performed to date in his career, he always showed the talent to go on and achieve things in the game and everybody at the Club is delighted that he has been recognised for his achievements this season in particular with the reward of a new contract and now the Young Player of the Month award.
All young players at the Academy should use Chris as an example of what they can achieve in the game if they make use of their full potential and have the right attitude to succeed. Chris is proof that if you are good enough you will be given an opportunity to progress at Norwich City.
On behalf of all at the Academy I would like to congratulate Chris on his award and hope he continues to enjoy a successful season and career at Norwich City.

Current first year professional Tom Adeyemi has also been recognised by the Football League this week where he has been nominated in the Apprentice of the Year category at the Football League awards to take place next month.
Whilst Tom is now a professional he is still of the age of a second-year scholar and as such must continue to complete an education course in addition to his football and is eligible for this category.
The award recognises achievements on and off the football field, Tom has been a member of almost every one of the first team squads in the 2009-10 season at just 18 years of age and this coupled with his remarkable academic progress should make him a strong contender for the award.
On behalf of everyone at the Club I would like to congratulate Tom on his nomination for the Apprentice of the Year award, I believe Tom is one of the stronger nominations in the category and believe he has a very good chance of winning the award. I will of course keep you updated with events from the ceremony in a future edition of the programme.
Enjoy the game.
