CANARIES FOR THE COMMUNITY VISIT SUCCESS
CANARIES for the Community volunteers have recently given a helping hand to West Earlham Junior School.
June 6 saw a dedicated group of Aviva volunteers, Norwich City fans and school staff paint the dining hall and portable classroom as well as beginning work on an outside planting area. By the end of the day a complete transformation had occurred and acting Head Teacher Jenny Elliott told canaries.co.uk: "I can't thank the volunteers enough for all they have done. Everyone at the school really appreciates all their hard work and time."
Community Ambassador Jeremy Goss took part in the event and later spoke about the day: "The project went really, really well," he said. "I'd like to thank and congratulate the Aviva volunteers and the school helpers on a fantastic job, as well as Duncan MacInnes for all the hard work and effort he has put in as founder. It's his energy and drive which makes these projects a complete success.
"Canaries for the Community is an incredible initiative designed to make a positive difference to people living within our community. The support for Norwich City is huge and we want to give something back to our fans who are the lifeblood of our great football club."
Once the work had been completed the City legend presented a commemorative plaque to the school to round off the day.

Canaries for the Community have another summer project at Dereham Town FC on Saturday, July 4 - anyone interested in volunteering should contact Gemma Gifford at NCFC on 01603 218750.
Everyone taking part will receive a specially printed t-shirt as a souvenir of the day, and lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge.
