COMMUNITY GOSS - OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER
Hello and welcome to yet another edition of Community Goss, a report featuring a pick of the community activity carried out in the last several months.
I hope you enjoy the following stories.

The Benjamin Foundation's Big Day
Thanks to Club sponsors Aviva, The Benjamin Foundation won the sponsorship of Norwich City for the day and had their logos on the team's shirts for the match with Doncaster Rovers at Carrow Road on October 25. The Norfolk charity won this special opportunity opened to local charities by Aviva and the Eastern Daily Press through their Community Chest Challenge.
Richard Draper, founder of The Benjamin Foundation, commented: "Watching the Norwich squad out there on the pitch wearing the shirts with our logo on was absolutely wonderful. Not only will the auction help raise our funds but it will also raise the profile of The Benjamin Foundation, and to be part of Norwich City Football Club's history is simply fantastic."

Norwich City/Aviva Ability Counts Week
The Club's fourth annual Disability Awareness Week took place in November with over 300 players with various disabilities taking part.
Congratulations to Ian Thornton, Darran Lovell and all the FITC coaches who contributed so much in making the Aviva Ability Counts Awareness Week such a big success. You were all, once again, fantastic in giving people with various disabilities the opportunity to participate in physical activity and by doing so adding something special to their lives.
The week was another great example of how 'Community NCFC' interacts and engages with it's fans and key events like this, managed by quality staff, deserves the best coverage and feedback.
The NCFC/Aviva Ability Counts week has also highlighted the growing size and strength of our vital Club-Supporter-Relationship policy, which, is held in such high regard by our own fans as well as the Football Association.
Well done to everyone involved.

Relax and 'Unwind' at Trowse
I have fond memories of the old Trowse Training Ground and memories also of the bakery we players used to descend upon for our much needed 'carb' intake after tough running sessions.
Now, some 20 years on, Tony and Maria Kelly have transformed that very bakery site into a high-class, trendy, 2008 restaurant called 'Unwind'. I was recently asked to help open the new business, although, I must point out that as a non-drinking man, this photo does not do me favours!
Good luck to Tony and Maria.

Recycle your phone and help boost the Tactic Zone
I'm sure thousands of lucky people will be receiving new mobile phones for Christmas and a simple way of disposing of the old ones is to simply bring them to Carrow Road.
We have teamed up with local company Love2Recycle who have two recycling bins situated in the Ticket Office and Club Shop so please 'drop' them there and we'll do the rest. All proceeds go towards the Academy Tactic Zone.

Study Centre Presentations
West Earlham Infants, St Michaels Junior, Heartsease First and Larkman Primary School have all recently enjoyed a special NCFC themed numeracy and literacy course held in the Study Centre. It was great to see so many young people enjoying their learning in the surroundings of Carrow Road. Well done to Louise for your valuable input.
The Playing for Success scheme is still operating to a very high standard within the Study Centre. The main objective of the scheme is to raise the aspirations and self-belief of all the students in a 'learning through football' environment.

Well done to Study Centre teachers Ros Watson and Nicky Bennett and coaches Katie, James, Mike and Alison for their enthusiastic and professional input, which, makes the scheme so successful. Thanks also to Neil Doncaster and Arturo Lupoli who kindly came along to one of the presentation nights to hand out well deserved certificates and goody-bags.
