ONCE again Flegg High are immensely proud to announce that a group of special young people have been awarded the Princess Diana Memorial Award for their outstanding contribution to Peer Support. They received their certificates and badges from Norwich City's Community Ambassador Jeremy Goss at Carrow Road on Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

They were there to train Martham Primary School Year 6 pupils in the techniques of Peer Support. Jeremy was full of praise for all the young people involved, calling their commitment "absolutely outstanding". Jeremy was delighted to present the award because of the close links between Flegg High School and Norwich City, including the school using the Study Support Centre as part of the Fair Play Initiative between the two organisations.

The training on Wednesday was such an appropriate occasion for the young people to receive their award because not only did the Flegg High School pupils show their usual degree of expertise and confidence, but also memorable was the superb reaction from the sixteen Year 6 pupils from Martham Primary School who showed an awareness of understanding of the serious issues involved, way beyond their years.

So, many congratulations go to Emma Gallant, Zoe Ribbands, Ashleigh Carruthers, Junior Rumbelow, Stacey Annison, Eloise Perry, Harvey Rodbourne, Sophie Lamb, Adam Rudrum, Catherine Bates, Sarah Knott, Laura Bennison and Chloe Cavanagh. They join an illustrious list of Flegg High Pupils who have received this wonderful award over the past seven years.
