NEW HALL OF FAMERS

Posted on: Mon 26 Mar 2012

NORWICH City and the Norwich City Football Club Historical Trust are delighted to announce that eight new members are to be added to the Club's Hall of Fame later this year.

The prestigious list of Canary greats that makes up the Club's Hall of Fame currently has 120 members. Now there is an opportunity for you, the fans, to induct five new members - these can be former or current Canary greats - anyone who you feel has helped play a part in the Club's proud 110-year history.

On top of the five new members chosen by supporters, the Historical Trust are pleased to announce that they have pre-selected Adam Drury, Michael Foulger and the late Alf Kirchen to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a gala dinner held at Carrow Road on Tuesday, March 6.

Adam Drury - Long-serving defender who is currently in his testimonial year at Carrow Road and captain of our 2003-04 Nationwide First Division championship-winning team. Adam is the longest serving member of the current playing squad and has now played 349 matches for the Club.

Michael Foulger - Currently the Club's Deputy Chairman and long serving board member. Michael and his late father have both provided continual financial support for the Club for many years. Michael's involvement has played a major part in helping the Club's recent rise from League One to the Premier League.

Alf Kirchen - Norfolk-born midfielder who played 18 first team games, scoring 10 goals in the 1930s. He later joined Arsenal where he won the title and made three appearances for England. Kirchen returned to Carrow Road in 1948 as coach and later joined the Club's board of Directors. Alf died in Norwich in 1999.
