SHEFFIELD Wednesday emerged victors from a thriller at Hillsborough that included five goals, a penalty, a dismissal for Canary defender John Kennedy and three disallowed goals.
City took the lead in the first half courtesy of a Clingan penalty but two goals in five minutes put Wednesday ahead early in the second half.
Despite a second goal coming from striker Leroy Lita, the tide turned againt City as Tudgay restored Wednesday's lead and Kennedy was dismissed for a professional foul. He is now set to miss next Sunday's derby against Ipswich at Carrow Road.
Earlier in the game the Canaries looked to have opened the scoring when a City corner found the foot of John Kennedy, but his 7th minute volley was ruled out by the assistant for offside.
It was then The Owls' turn, as they thought Francis Jeffers had given them the lead in the 36th minute. The former Arsenal striker finished past David Marshall, but the linesmen again signalled offside.
City took the lead just before half-time when a penalty was awarded as Marcus Tudgay brought down Wes Hoolahan in the box. Clingan confidently stepped up to the penalty spot and sent Lee Grant the wrong way, finishing in the top right corner.

The Owls' Tony McMahon levelled shortly after the break, meeting Etienne Esajas' corner with a powerful header unmarked from close range.
The home side then took the lead five minutes later when Marcus Tudgay played in Leon Clarke, who drilled his shot past the City 'keeper.
Leroy Lita brought City level in the 63rd minute when on the receiving end of a throw-in, the striker shot across goal from the edge of the box giving the travelling City fans a ray of light on what was a very foggy afternoon in Sheffield.
The equality was short-lived when nine minutes later, a long cross from Lewis Buxton on the left was turned in at the far post by Marcus Tudgay's diving header.
With nine minutes to go John Kennedy was shown a straight red card for a professional foul after he was adjudged to have brought down Clarke just inside the City half.
Leroy Lita had the ball in the back of the net again in injury-time but for the third time in the match, the assistant's flag cut short the celebrations, ensuring all three points remained property of the Yorkshire side.
