CITY U18s FAIL TO MAKE CHANCES COUNT
NORWICH City U18s suffered a home defeat to Fulham at Colney Training Centre despite dominating for large periods of the match.
The Canaries started the game very brightly and created some excellent chances early on. Josh Dawkin forced the Fulham goalkeeper into a good save, City saw two further efforts clatter against the woodwork and another shot cleared off the line.
However, Norwich were made to pay for not taking their chances when Fulham took the lead 15 minutes in with an excellent goal from distance which curled into the top corner of Declan Rudd's goal.
City continued to press and look for an equaliser, enjoying almost all of the possession, but on the half hour mark a long ball forward was chased down by a Fulham striker. Goalkeeper Rudd forced his opponent wide but somehow the striker still managed to score from the tightest of angles.

Academy manager Ricky Martin made a change at half time introducing Johnbull Omoregie for Josh Dawkin on the right wing.
The second half was a much tighter affair with fewer chances for either side. City again enjoyed more possession but did not threaten the Fulham goal often enough.
Luke Daley was replaced by Kenny Reeves with 15 minutes to go switching to a 4-3-3 formation in a bid to find a way back into the game.
It was not to be and the visitors ran out 2-0 victors with Norwich left ruing those first half missed chances.
Ricky Martin spoke to canaries.co.uk after the match: "Too often recently we have dominated matches and not taken our chances when they have come our way. This was the case again today and is something we must change if we are to achieve what we believe we can this season."
