CLARK AGREES CITY SWITCH
NEWCASTLE coach Lee Clark has agreed to join Norwich City's backroom team as assistant manager
Clark is poised to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Canaries and will be reunited with Glenn Roeder, who became Norwich's new boss on Tuesday.
He is free to begin work immediately and take-up his position in the Carrow Road dug-out alongside Roeder for this Sunday's big East Anglian derby with Ipswich Town (kick off 12.45pm).
Roeder gave Clark his first break in coaching when he took over the reigns of Newcastle United from Graeme Souness and clearly rates him highly enough to make him the first new member of his coaching team at Colney.
A Geordie lad through and through, Clark began his playing career with Newcastle, making his debut as a youngster in the 1990/1992 season.
He left the club in 1997, and enjoyed spells at Sunderland and Fulham before returning to Newcastle as first a player, and then as a member of the coaching team.
