CHADWICK CALLS FOR REPEAT
LUKE Chadwick reflected on arguably the best display of his City career so far and called for a repeat performance against Watford on Tuesday night (kick-off 7.45pm).
The former Manchester United man was one of Norwich's star performers as they clawed their way back from two goals down at half time to secure a draw with Ipswich at Carrow Road.
It was a stirring display with an atmosphere to match, and Chadwick said it was now up to the players to repeat that level of performance in each of their remaining games if they wanted to pull clear of the Championship drop zone.
"We have got to keep producing performances like that to get out of trouble," said the 26-year-old. "They (Watford) are a good team. But you look at most teams and anyone can beat anyone on there day and we will be going into the game to get the three points. We have got to do what we are good at - work hard and get the three points."
And Chadwick believed the arrival of new boss Glenn Roeder had much to do with the upturn in performance at the weekend.
"He's come in and given us a lot of belief," he added. "Things have been good. We've had a laugh in training, but we've worked hard as well. He's a Premiership manager who has done it at the top level. He's come down to the Championship and hopefully he can work with us and turn us into Premiership players.
"It gave us a bit of confidence and it was a good performance by the players, but not really the result we wanted. Everyone seemed a bit more relaxed. We all relaxed and played some nice football. We put some nice passing moves together and worked hard as well.
"This season we haven't started well, but the manager has come in and we've put in a good performance and should have won the game."
