CITY boss Glenn Roeder said the Canaries' first away win of the season at Blackpool was great not just for the players and everyone at the Club - it was 'fantastic' for the 400-plus fans who made the long trip from Norfolk to Bloomfield Road.

Speaking after two goals from Dion Dublin and a superb header from Martin Taylor had clinched a vital 3-1 win for Norwich, Roeder said: "That's what pleases me the most in football - sending our loyal supporters home happy.

"Let's face it they had another very long trip a couple of weeks ago to Plymouth and they got a total non-performance, which they just don't deserve, simple as that.

"Tonight I hope they have a safe and happy journey home having seen some much better play and a good result from their team."

Roeder also paid tribute to Dion Dublin, who scored in either half to help end Blackpool's unbeaten home record - and gain City's first away win in the Championship since last April's 2-1 success at Leicester.

"Dion is simply an excellent professional and a pleasure to work with. He took both goals very well and you can't ask for much more from a striker," said Roeder.
