CITY 'keeper David Marshall says the Canaries are determined to bounce back after Saturday's 4-0 reverse at Leicester.

The heavy defeat ended City's superb 13-game unbeaten run in the Championship - and Marshall says it's important to get back on track straight away with good results in the forthcoming home games against Barnsley and Blackpool.

He told CanariesWorld: "It was disappointing with the run we have been on. We just didn't really get going, the first goal kind of killed us.

"At half-time we thought if we could get back to the way we had been playing then maybe we would have a chance of getting something out of the game but it wasn't to be and now we just need to get back on track.

"I think we have 13 league games to go now starting with a tough game against Barnsley, but with two games at home in a row it should be good for us and we are looking forward to them."

The dismissal of City midfielder Darel Russell in the second half, with Norwich already trailing 2-0 by that stage, really pulled the rug out from under any effort by the visitors to haul themselves back into contention.

Marshall commented: "We ended up going three at the back just trying to get something from the game because we know every game is precious to us and the games are running out.

"So I think 4-0 is a bit of an over-the-top scoreline with us going down to ten men."

Russell's red card means he is set to miss the next three matches, while one-game suspensions for Dion Dublin and skipper Mark Fotheringham mean they will join him on the sidelines for Saturday's clash against Barnsley.

Marshall said the unfortunate absence of the key trio would provide a chance for other players to make their mark: "I think this is why the Gaffer bought in so many loan players. It will test the squad but as I said the next two games at home are vital and we will be looking to win both.

"Obviously we will miss the boys but to get anywhere in this league you have to play all your players because there are going to be a lot of injuries and suspensions so we will just have to get on with it."
