EVANS FIRES WINNER FOR WELSH
CANARIES' striker Ched Evans spared the blushes of the Welsh Under 21s with a late goal to secure a 2-1 win over international minnows Bosnia in their UEFA Championships qualifier.
The young Welshmen comfortably thrashed their opponents 4-0 in the home fixture back in September, and were expected to wrack-up a similar scoreline in the return match.
But it took an 88th minute strike from Evans, currently at Carrow Road on loan from Manchester City, to give the U21s their fifth successive victory.
It also maintained a great run of form at international level for Evans, who is now pushing for a senior call-up after hitting nine in seven appearances at U21 level and six for the Canaries this season.
Bosnia had been leading until as late as the 86th minute, with Dialiba giving them a 56th minute lead. But substitute Simon Church levelled things, before Evans pounced to secure the win two minutes from time.
