WE'RE IN A NUMBER OF DEALS - ROEDER

Posted on: Fri 27 Jun 2008

GLENN Roeder has today given Norwich fans fresh hope of new signings coming to Carrow Road in the very near future.

Talking exclusively to canaries.co.uk at The Royal Norfolk Show, the City boss spoke about current activity within the transfer market. "We're working very hard in the background, it's not as easy as it used to be.

"With agents and Chairmen often involved, negotiations tend to take a lot longer. We're in to three or four deals at the moment, so hopefully they'll bear fruit in the next couple of days."

The Canaries officially unveiled their brand new away kit at the show, with appearances from Jamie Cureton, Adam Drury and youngster Declan Rudd. Asked for his opinion on the new kit, Roeder was complimentary about the design on both new Aviva strips. "I think the new kit is fantastic. Obviously we're very lucky to secure Aviva as our new sponsor, and I think it's a great new strip. Both the home and away kits are special, and I hope they bring us lots of luck this year.

"I've not been to the Norfolk show before, and it knocks me out how many people are here and the interest that they're showing in the events that are going on. I think everyone likes the new kit, and I think that everyone is very positive about it and the new season."
