NEW DEAL FOR DOHERTY
NORWICH City defender Gary Doherty has today signed a two-year contract with the Canaries.
City boss Glenn Roeder told the media at his last press conference that a "good offer" had been put on the table for the Irish defender and spoke highly of his efforts in the 2007-08 campaign saying, "At times last season he was our most consistent player and a very safe defender."
Gary joined Norwich from Tottenham Hotspur in 2004 and has since made 147 appearances for the Canaries scoring on four occasions. He started 32 league games for City last season whilst making two appearances as a substitute.
