CITY manager Glenn Roeder says he is pleased with the transfer business the Canaries have undertaken so far.

Seven new faces have headed to Carrow Road in recent weeks, additions which Roeder says he is delighted with. "I'm very pleased with the players that I have signed. I'm absolutely ,100 per cent certain that the squad I've got now when fully fit are a lot better than the squad I inherited in November.

"We have released 17 players since then and they had to go. Most managers turn around three or four players every season, we have turned around 17, and that's some rebuilding job."

Thoughts of fans and Norwich staff alike are turning to the fast approaching 2008-09 campaign, after what has been a tense close season. Speaking after the Tottenham friendly, the Norwich manager said he felt the Canary faithful's patience would soon be rewarded by performances on the pitch. "It's been a long hard summer. For instance Wes Hoolahan, who I thought made a great impression in front of the home supporters tonight and I think they took to him straight away - that transfer took nearly eight weeks to complete. Thankfully, we stuck in there and fought hard to get his signature.

"All transfers are taking a long time, it was difficult to convince Fulham to let Omosuzi come to us. Thankfully Roy Hodgson did us a big favour letting him come here. When he plays right-back, he's an outstanding talent. Fulham have put a big price on his head, they don't want to sell him anyway. I think in Omosuzi and Bertrand, there won't be two better young full-backs in the Championship."

Asked who had impressed him in the squad which played Spurs, Roeder commented: "I'm pleased with all of them. I suppose Hoolahan has made the biggest impression, one of his dribbles in the first half, the supporters were on the edge of their seats - it was a stunning dribble. He doesn't waste the ball very often and he's kind on the eye - supporters will really enjoy watching him play this year."

Recent addition to Roeder's squad Arturo Lupoli is yet to feature in a game for the Canaries. The 21-year-old forward has represented his national team in every age group since he was 16 and joined City on a season-long loan from Fiorentina earlier this month. Asked why Norwich fans had not had a chance to see the Italian youngster in action, the manager answered: "We're waiting for international clearance, but we're working as hard as we can to get that passed. He's fit, he's impressed in training and we're hoping that we'll get it sorted in the next couple of days so he can play against Colchester."
