A HOST of past-Canaries will be returning to Carrow Road for a special reunion and exhibition match in aid of the Club's Historical Trust on Sunday, September 7.

The day will include a City legends team taking on former Ipswich players, who will be captained by Bryan Gunn and Simon Milton respectively.

Fan favourite Steen Nedergaard will be one of the players battling it out on the pitch, and he said he couldn't wait to get back to Norwich and see his old colleagues. "It will be fantastic to see so many people who I haven't seen for some time. I'm looking forward to meeting the players I used to play with at Norwich.

"I now work for the Danish Players' Union, I negotiate contracts for players who are members of the PFA in Denmark. We also represent and look after players, and I enjoy it. The people I work with are very competent and it's a learning process for me as it's where I want to be in the end.

"I'll have five or six days in Norwich, I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone at the Club. It's strange how time passes by and it's a long time since I've been back."

Midfielder Gary Holt, who played for Norwich between 2001-2005 and is currently playing for Wycombe Wanderers will also be attending the match. Holt said he was delighted at being offered the chance to come back to a Club he regards so highly. "I am really looking forward to coming along to Carrow Road on Sunday. I came to see Norwich play Blackpool and it was very entertaining and it was really good to see how the Club has progressed since I last was there, and this Sunday is definitely going to be a fantastic day.

"Norwich still has a big place in my heart, and I live with my family in the area and we hope to settle there once I finish my playing career. The more I can help the better, and to support something like the Historical Trust is a really important thing to do."
