CITY skipper Mark Fotheringham says he believes the Canaries have what it takes to mount a challenge at the right end of the table.

But it wasn't just the Club's first Championship win of the season at Plymouth which prompted that belief - it was the quality of football Glenn Roeder and his staff have got Fotheringham and his team-mates playing.

Speaking after the game at Home Park, Fotheringham commented: "I was actually a bit down afterwards because it's frustrating to lose a late goal. But there were some fantastic performances out there today.

"It's actually really exciting to be in this team at the moment because Glenn, Lee and Paul have got us playing some great football. I don't see any reason why we can't challenge this season.

"We've got players here that are hungry. We will have setbacks along the way of course but we've got characters here to cope with that."
