YOUR SHOUT FROM CARROW ROAD
Your Shout written by Joe Ferrari and Gareth Payne.
17.03 - Some post-match shouts of joy, Jon Otsemobor was voted man of the match for whoever turns out to be our lucky winner today, which we will announce during the coming week.

"

"At bloomin' last - we never score this late - its fantastic, its great, we've beat the blades, Lee Croft - we love you!!!!!!!"

"
16.54 - Got a Greg Halford free-kick to defend though. That is done and Jamie Cureton takes the ball forward looking for the corner flag, no matter the whistle has gone, first home win of the season for City, left it late, but better late than never.
16.53 - That has to be the winner! Even David Marshall joined the boys in the opposite corner area in front of the Hotel. Lee Croft cut inside his man and curled a left-footed effort beyond the despairing dive of Paddy Kenny.
16.50 - "Match winning save", comments my colleague, match drawing save perhaps, Grounds slipped allowing sub Danny Webber a clear run on goal but Marshall pulled off a fantastic save.
16.49 - Fair to say we have had more of the play but United still look dangerous, as Lee Hendrie demonstrated just a moment ago and James Beattie has wasted a couple of good breaks.

"
16.45 - Blades sub Lee Hendrie goes close with a curler from the corner of the area which flashes just wide of the post. Naughton comes on for Cotterill for the visitors.
16.43 - Getting more tense now as we enter the last ten minutes of normal time. A lovely jinking run from Otsemober sees him tee up Darel Russell for a speculative 30-yard drive which clears Kenny's bar by a couple of feet.
16.38 - This is more like it - referee Phil Crossley plays a great advantage which allows Croft to whip in a cross to the penalty spot area. Sibierski meets it with a half volley which goes into the ground and bounces towards the top corner, forcing Kenny to make a brilliant one-handed save.
16.37 - The resulting free-kick comes to nothing but in the next attack Sibierski finds Cureton after great work from Hoolahan but Kenny saves the Norwich striker's curled effort.
16.35 -"Referee...oh no!" Sibierski tripped but the ball ran on to Cureton who had a run at the last man 25 yards from goal.

"
Surely this is like the last day in the ambassador suite of the Last Chance Hotel for Jaimie!"

16.34 - Crofty coming back to life down the right skipping away from two, Russell wanted one too many touches to get his shot away.

"
16.32 - Ex-Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie replaces Stephen Quinn for Sheffield United.
16.31 - As thought Bertrand slots in at left-back and Hoolahan left midfield. The chat about the pink shirt continues.

"
16.28 - A standing ovation for Adam Drury on his return to Carrow Road, first appearance here since October 20 against Bristol City.
16.27 - Looks like Wes Hoolahan is being pitchside, Drury has been down with cramp so wouldn't be surprised if that is the change to be made with Bertrand dropping back into left-back.
16.26 - Substitute Arturo Lupoli is replaced by Cureton.
16.24 - Jonathan Grounds is beaten to the ball by Beattie as United threaten a two-on-one break - but fortunately Beattie's pass to Webber is poor and the danger passes.
16.20 - A Chris Morgan effort flies well over from a corner. Veteran Gary Speed protests that he felt there was a claim for a penalty in the melee - and is promptly booked, presumably for dissent.

16.18 - Danny Webber is brought on by United in a straight swap for Billy Sharp.
16.17 - City win a free-kick on the right in a dangerous position after Sibierski is fouled. Fotheringham whips in a good kick which Russell leaps to head wide of the far post.
16.14 - In response to Lisa's post at half-time, Croftly started the half brightly but faded slightly and Marshall made that one great save low down to his left. The attendance of 24,175 is announced.
16.12 - Right-back Greg Halford is booked for a challenge from behind on Bertrand, plays continues though and Drury's cross is turned behind by Kilgallon.
16.11 - First chance of the half falls to Otsemobor, he turns Montgomery's cross onto a combination of Marshall's foot and post in his own box.

"
Skysports has us 60/40 for possession - for those of you who haven't got 16 windows open at once!"

16.09 - More ironic cheers from the City faithful in response to Mr. Phil Crossley awarding City a free-kick.
16.08 - An end-to-end start to the second half but a little short on quality from both sides, moves breaking down in the final third.
16.06 - We're off and it is Sheffield United with the first cross of the half.

"
15.49 - The closest yet to a City goal. Sibierski drills an intelligent low ball across the edge of the area from the right and after Russell brings it under he swivels and fires in a shot which Kenny saves at full stretch. The rebound bounces up and over the on-rushing Lupoli. It proves to be the last action of the half.
15.46 - We're playing four minutes of stoppage time after a first half punctuated by treatement for players from both sides.
15.44 - Beattie is already offside as he heads it down to Sharp - Sharp's point-blank effort appears to be well-saved by Marshall, albeit with an area of his body he would probably prefer not to be throwing in the way of close-range shots...the flag is up anyway.
15.42 - Otsemobor bursts into the Sheffield box after more good interplay on the right but perhaps takes a stride too many before his shot from the angle is blocked and cleared.
15.40 - Lupoli tries his luck with a shot from the edge of the area which is slightly deflected before being safely collected by Kenny.
15.37 - Otsemobor strikes the free-kick, a rising effort that Kenny takes above his head.
15.36 - Ironic cheers from the crowd as City are awarded a free-kick, 25 yards from goal. For those that haven't seen the Curo images during the week, not sure if it is going to catch on you know.

15.33 - More physio action, Simon Spencer has now overtaken Croft as the most involved person of the day, Sibierski being treated for a head injury, no Cureton-esque head bandages required.
15.32 - Handball given against Drury after a loose pass out of defence by Otsemobor. Beattie and Speed stand over it and wide it goes much to the relief of those behind the goal.

"Very attacking team we have now on this forced change."

15.30 - City defend that long throw-in from 30+ yards from full-back Greg Halford with all eleven, did the job, Marshall takes it on the second bounce.
15.29 - One-time City target David Cotterill has a free-kick from an identical position to that from which QPR scored on Wednesday night. This time Marshall dives to his left to palm the ball behind.

15.27 - I don't think all the injury stoppages are helping City's concentration much. This may explain why Billy Sharp is able to sprint on to a throughball into no-man's land behind Adam Drury before firing wide of Marshall's far post.
15.25 - Now Pattison requires more treatment and indeed it is him who makes way, with Lupoli coming on and moving up front and Darel Russell dropping back into midfield.
15.24 - 'T-shirt from Matalan' sing the Blades fans as their blossoming friendship with the pink-clad Canary fan continues.
15.23 - Lupoli is warming up, but for the time being Sibierski is playing on.
15.21 - A break in play as Otsemobor is treated - with Sibierski worryingly also looking to have taken a knock - gives the United fans a chance to question the masculinity of a Norwich fan sporting a bright pink top in Block E of the Barclay. He receives a huge ovation as he stands up to wave in their direction.
15.18 - Great covering from Drury, anticipating the danger and cutting it out, great to see him back starting in a City shirt.
15.17 - Sibierski down holding is hamstring but gets to his feet gingerly and limps away.
15.14 - Interesting viewpoint from Porker there, play stops for an injury and we have a cricket-style drinks break.

"Picking Fotheringham whatever is no longer a bold choice. It's obstinate, blinkered and simply foolish."
Porker
15.12 - Big shouts of "United" emmanating from the travelling fans, which are quickly silenced by a response from the City fans and Gary Speed has the last say on this matter forcing Marshall into a low save with a header.
15.11 - Croft is hugging the touchline, ye olde fashion winger styley, chalk on the boots stuff and so far is justifying his selection, definitely the most involved player and is dumped to the floor.

"
15.10 - A magic Cruyff turn from Matty Pattison in the box wins a corner - he takes it himself and Kenny claims at the second attempt.
15.09 - End to end stuff there as Quinn's shot from the edge of the City area is saved by Marshall. Play breaks to the other end and Croft and Otsemobor link up well to force a corner. Pattison's flag kick is scrambled away.
15.07 - The City crowd have made a positive and noisy start today - the Barclay is in good voice and I've yet to hear a chant from the Blades followers over there in the Jarrold Stand.

"Came back from a cycle ride, looked at the team and had to resort to a stiff glass of lemonade. It is, as they used to say on Yes Prime Minister, a bold choice…"

15.04 - I think with the line-up we've got today, City's flanks could be the key to success or failure. On paper Otsemobor and Croft on the right and Drury and Bertrand on the left provides plenty of scope to get forward. The absence of Hoolahan in the middle suggests this could be the way forward today - time will tell.
15.02 - City have opened brightly with Croft getting the Blades defence back-pedalling on City's right flank.

15.00 - We're underway as City attack the Norwich & Peterborough Stand in the sunshine at Carrow Road.
14.56 - The players make their way onto the pitch here at Carrow Road to U2's - "Beautiful Day".
14.54 - Earlier in The Premiership Sunderland beat rivals Middlesbrough 2-0 with substitute Michael Chopra notching twice late on.
14.52 - A 2-1 win for City is the most popular opinion on the Message Board and Thaxton predicts a 2-0 win, I'm not going to argue with him!
14.50 - Boxers Sam Sexton and John Thaxton are currently being interviewed on the pitch ahead of their upcoming fights.

"
14.44 - The Sheffield United defenders warming up with some heading practice, height and distance the aim of the exercise.

"
14.25 - Team news is out, over on 'On The Ball', where Glenn Roeder makes four changes, Stefanovic, Kennedy, Hoolahan and Lupoli out and Drury, Otsemobor, Grounds and Croft in.
