SEMI INJURY BLOW

Posted on: Fri 10 Oct 2008

CITY defender Jon Otsemobor is 'touch and go' for the Bristol City game after rupturing ankle ligaments in the match against Derby County.

Otsemobor was stretchered off in the second half of City's 2-1 defeat against the Rams at Carrow Road and though a scan has confirmed no bone damage, ruptured ligaments means he is a serious doubt for the canaries' next game at Ashton gate.

City boss Glenn Roeder said: "We've had the scan results back and Semi is touch and go for the game at Bristol. It's unfortunate for him as he was enjoying a good run in the team and was playing well. Hopefully he'll be back in action sooner rather than later, we'll have to wait and see."
