GUNNY GOALKEEPING COURSE
FOOTBALL in the Community are offering budding young goalkeepers the chance to learn from a pro this October half term.
Ex-City 'keeper Bryan Gunn will be running a two-day goalkeeping course at Open Academy (formerly Heartsease High School) on Monday and Tuesday October 27/28, 10am - 3pm on both days. Gunn played for the Canaries between 1986-1998, making 478 appearances for the Club.
In preparation for the course, Gunn told canaries.co.uk: "Its a fantastic course which has developed over the years from its original one-day course, we've extended it because there's so much information that goalkeepers need to take on board. It's great to see familiar faces coming back each year and seeing their improvements, seeing what else we can work on.
"The course covers all areas of goalkeeping, such as basic handling and technical information along with lots of fun, so that when they go home to mum and dad they've had a good day and picked up lots of really useful information. We see all ages come along, five-year-olds to 15 -year-olds, it caters for everybody, and we make it fun-related but still related to skills needed in a games. im really looking forward to it because I get to do what I love doing best."
