I'D BE HAPPY TO STAY - LITA
AFTER scoring the winning goal in City's 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers, Leroy Lita says the Canaries' success was a product of strong teamwork and determination to follow up on Tuesday's success.
He told First News: "I think that was more important today because if we didn't win today, Tuesday would have meant nothing. Sometimes you have to win like that, we didn't play the best but we stuck it out and won. It shows that we have character and the ability to do well, we just need to make it more consistent.
"It's not just about one player, it's about a whole team and we all have to set the standard. It's about the whole team putting in their shift and today it wasn't a great performance but we got all three points so we're happy, we managed to stick together and grind them down."
After Glenn Roeder confirmed he would be pleased to extend Lita's loan at Carrow Road if possible, Lita added: "I have spoken to the gaffer, but Im just concentrating on the next game now but if both teams agree for me to stay then I'm happy to do that. Reading are flying, I wouldn't want to go back and not play.
"I'm in a real flow now and I hope to keep that going. I'm happy to stay and play here at Norwich, the gaffer has been great to me, he's told me how to play to my strengths and he's made things easy for me and I'm really enjoying it. As long as I'm here I'll continue to do my best for the team and score as many goals as I can. I'm just concentrating on the next game and we'll see what happens."
