TONIGHT'S match with Crystal Palace will see a new addition at Carrow Road, that of new mascot - Aviva Lemur.
The mascot character is the winning design of 10-year-old Steven Fackman who has won a recent competition headed by main Club sponsors Aviva.
Local children were invited to enter the competition to create a character in celebration of the new three-year sponsorship of Norwich City by Aviva at the start of this season.
Steven, a pupil at Woodlands Primary in Bradwell near Great Yarmouth, took the top prize, which was to see his design become reality and join the two present Club mascots Captain Canary and Splat the Cat on the pitch at every Norwich City home game.
To witness this special event Steven will be at Carrow Road tonight with his family to watch the Canaries take on Crystal Palace. As part of his prize Aviva will also be giving his school, Woodlands Primary £500 in cash.
Nick Gibbs, Aviva Sponsorship Manager commented: "It's great to see Aviva Lemur come to life and for Steven to be the first to meet him.
"Our sponsorship of Norwich City is very much about engaging the local community and this competition has really done that. It was a tough decision with many great designs, but Steven's entry ticked all the right boxes. We were particularly impressed by the yellow and green tail that really made Aviva Lemur come alive.
"Both Steven and his school, Woodlands Primary, should be very proud of his achievement. Thanks again to all those that took part and, in particular, the local schools for their fantastic support."
