MUST TAKE OPPORTUNITIES - LITA

Posted on: Sat 29 Nov 2008

NORWICH striker Leroy Lita says the Canaries need to put their loss to Crystal Palace behind them and bounce back when they play Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.

Looking ahead to City's clash with the Owls, Lita told canaries.co.uk the Norwich squad need to work together and take opportunities when they come their way at the Hillsborough Stadium.

He said: "We've been inconsistent and we need to sort that out. The Crystal Palace game was an example of a great opportunity for us to get another win and we let it slip. We've got to forget about that now and look forward to this weekend's game. Our inconsistency isn't a good thing and we need to work on trying to improve and make it easier for everyone when we see opportunities, to take them.

"It's always nice to score goals so hopefully I'll score again this weekend. We want another win, especially away from home where we haven't been too great, but we won the last away game so hopefully we can win another one."

On their nothern opponents, Lita added: "At Forest, we showed bravery with ten men and we need to try and do that with 11 - it's going to be a tough game, the crowd up there are very passionate about their football so it's going to be a difficult game for us.

"They are doing pretty well so it's going to be a tough game but we're looking forward to it, we've got good players here and it's a good team which knows how to play well, and we just need to do that more often."

Asked whether he would like his loan spell at Carrow Road to be extended, Lita replied: "I'm enjoying it here, whatever it takes to get the results that's all that matters. I'm not sure yet, I've got another two weeks yet so we'll see then but I am enjoying playing here so I've got no problem with that.

"But we haven't spoken about it so I'm just looking forward to this weekend's game. I'm just concentrating on playing football, I'm a young lad so there's plenty of football to be played yet."
