LOCAL derby hero Lee Croft says he is looking forward to the Canaries' hectic festive fixture list.
Croft told First News it was a chance for City to turn a run of good performances into a run of good results: "It's good having lots of games, as a player you don't get to enjoy Christmas like everyone else does but it's good over the festive period. There's a lot of games and there's a lot of points to be had.
"Team-wise I think we're definitely finding consistency, starting from the Ipswich game right through to Watford and Reading, I think we played well. We had chances to win games, we didn't put them away at important times but we've been playing well and we are creating chances. Come tomorrow hopefully we can turn those chances into a win.
"They are a massive club and things aren't going well for them. We have to make sure we increase the gap between us and them and make sure we don't give them an early Christmas present. We have to go out there tomorrow and make sure we get the three points for ourselves.
The winger said home games against Charlton (Saturday, 3pm) and Nottingham Forest (December 28, 3pm) plus the Boxing Day clash away to Palace represented a healthy challenge for the Canary squad:
"They're good home games to go into, and then Palace away on Boxing Day. We're looking forward to the next few games, looking forward to getting back out and playing and hopefully we can continue in the form that we've been playing in."
Croft said recent newspaper speculation suggesting he had 'snubbed' a contract offer from the Canaries was wide of the mark: "There has been talk about me snubbing a contract here, I've not even spoken to Norwich yet. Nothing's been snubbed and speculation is just rumours going around. My contract is up at the end of the season, I'm not really thinking about that - I'm just thinking about playing football and helping us to win games, and hopefully pushing up the table."
