HAVING secured his place with Norwich until the end of the season, Elliot Omozusi says he's pleased to be remaining at Norwich City for the rest of the 2008-09 campaign.
The young defender will stay with the Canaries until June, hoping to feature as many times as possible while he remains a City player.
He said: "It's good to get things sorted out once and for all, I had a talk with Roy Hodgson at Fulham and he wished me the best for the season ahead and I'll go back there in the pre-season and start afresh.
"Roy sent me here to play as many games as possible and gain the experience he couldn't promise me at Fulham. He told me to keep battling on and hopefully come back a better player for it. The boys at Fulham have done a tremendous job so far this season and I'd love to go back and be a part of their success."
City's recent diminished defensive line-up has seen Omozusi called into the less familiar role of a central defender - a job which the youngster feels comfortable with: "I'm enjoying playing alongside Gary (Doherty) who is an obviously experienced player.
"It's a job that I have been known to do in the past and I'm comfortable there, so hopefully if and when I'm called upon again to play there I should know the role well."
As the Canaries prepare for battle at The Valley this weekend, the 20-year-old told First News he was looking forward to taking part in the FA Cup third round clash. "It's always a special competition," he added. "We're playing Charlton away and hopefully if we beat them it gives us an opportunity to step outside of our league and possibly play someone in the Premiership. If we beat Charlton we could potentially be going somewhere like Old Trafford.
"Playing outside the league gives you a different sort of buzz and if we win we can take confidence from that back into the league and hopefully improve our league form."
