KIDS CHANCE TO PLAY AT CARROW ROAD

Posted on: Wed 18 Mar 2009

FOOTBALL FOR FANS can reveal details of their second mini-soccer tournament for youngsters at Carrow Road.

Last summer's inaugural event was a great success and another group of youngsters will again be getting the chance to play on Carrow Road at the end of the season.

The competition format will be the same as before, essentially small-sided football rules (seven-a-side matches - maximum ten players per squad) and there will be separate tournaments for U7's, U8's, U9's, U10's and U11's. Subject to take-up, the event will take place on Sunday, May, 17, 2009 (12.30pm to 7pm).

Gunny will be in attendance on the day and present the winners and runners-up with trophies and medals for each competition in the older age groups and medals for all the participants in the under 7's and under 8's 'friendly festival' event. There will also be autographed certificates for all participants and a visit to the dressing room areas is all part of the day.

The event will again be used to raise money, via raffles, for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and so far tournament organisers Football For Fans Ltd have raised more than £7,000 for this famous charity.

The tournaments will again be affiliated with the Norfolk FA.

This event will give many of the children a possible once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy the experience of playing at Carrow Road. Clubs interested in taking part should contact Jeff Garner (not Norwich City FC) via email on jeff@footballforfans.co.uk or mobile 07941 877570 for further details.
