QPR MATCH PREVIEW
Opponents
City travel to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers this evening (8pm). They have been a second-tier side since promotion in 2003-04, when they finished runners-up in Division Two (now League One) behind Plymouth Argyle.
January saw manager Paulo Sousa strengthen his side, most notably with the permanent signings of Heidur Helguson, Lee Cook and Wayne Routledge from Bolton, Fulham and Aston Villa respectively. Former Celtic and Manchester United central midfielder Liam Miller joined on loan from Sunderland.
QPR are under the guidance of former Juventus and Inter Milan midfielder Paulo Sousa. Sousa previously worked as assistant coach of the Portuguese national team, after a successful playing career that saw him earn 51 international caps and represent Portugal at Euro 1996, Euro 2000 and the 2002 World Cup.

Sousa took charge after Iain Dowie was sacked in October 2008, after just 15 games in the hotseat, with the Club sitting in 9th in the Championship. Previously to Dowie, QPR went European with Italian Luigi De Canio at the helm for just six-and-a-half months as first team coach.
Sousa is set to be without midfielders Akos Buzsaky and Martin Rowlands, strikers Rowan Vine and Patrick Agyemang through injury.
QPR have two former Canary loanees on their books, Lee Camp made three appearances during a three-month spell and Zesh Rehman, currently on loan at Bradford City, played five times for City in early 2006.
Form Guide
Queens Park Rangers currently sit 11th in the Championship table with 48 points from their 34 games, 31 of their points have come at Loftus Road.
They have not won in five games, their last victory coming at Bloomfield Road against Blackpool in late-January, 3-0, Heidar Helguson bagging a brace.
You have to go back to December 20, for the Hoops last home win, Helguson on target twice that day as well.
Despite no win in five, Rangers have lost only four of their previous 18 fixtures in league and cup competitions.
One of those defeats came at the weekend, a 2-1 reverse to Barnsley at Oakwell. Left-back Damien Delaney stole in at the far-post to tap Rangers level ten minutes before half-time but Anderson de Silva struck the winner eight minutes later for the hosts.
The R's last home match ended in defeat to Ipswich Town, 3-1, despite on-loan Italian striker Samuel Di Carmine's third-minute opener.
Former Southampton striker Dexter Blackstock tops their goalscoring charts with 12 goals in all competitions.

Rangers won the reverse fixture in September of last year, despite playing with only ten men for over an hour of the game. Former Arsenal defender Matthew Connolly was dismissed for two bookable offences, before Martin Rowlands drilled home a thrice-taken free-kick from just outside the box.
Last Time Out
City went down to a Martin Rowlands penalty in what proved to be Peter Grant's last match in charge. Rowlands stepped up to convert the only goal of the game on 67 minutes after Ian Murray was adjudged to have brought down Rowan Vine.
