Your Shout from the Message Board
"I'm virtually crying sitting in my chair listening to the commentary and browsing this site, terrible performance, 9 games to go, Gunn, please save my club!!! I will be with the team forever. I ejected the board from my life months ago. A terrible day, we can only pray we stay up."

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Get the players to pay for everybody else's travel up there including yours Joe. You think it can't get worse and it keeps getting worse"

16.53 - It's all over. Norwich face the long trip back down the length of England from west to east with nothing to show for their appearance here this afternoon and, depending on other results, a more precarious position and now just nine matches instead of ten in which to salvage their Championship status. If they are to achieve this, starting with the game at Carrow Road against Cardiff City on Tuesday night, they will need to show much more of the spirit and passion displayed at QPR than has been the case here today at Bloomfield Road. It really is as simple as that.

16.50 - There are three minutes of injury-time but barring a minor miracle it looks like being a hugely-disappointing afternoon for the Canaries. Although they have managed to create a few half-decent chances on the break, by and large the initiative and the drive has come from the team in orange. They have continued to harry, press and work - and have crucially made more effective use of their wide men than Norwich have been able to. When their chances have come, they have taken them, whereas Norwich simply have not tested Rachubka in the Blackpool goal to any serious degree.

16.48 - Alan Gow tries his luck for City with a long-range effort which is well struck but wide of the post.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"If this is a team who are "up for it" I'd hate to see what they are like when they aren't. They sound as they are stuck in quicksand."

Your Shout from the Message Board
"This was our cup final and we've approached it like a walk in the park. Why does Gunn wait so long to change things?"
jigs69

Your Shout from the Message Board
"It just makes me sick ...2-0 down and then he makes changes......unbelievable."

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Absolute garbage. If we can't get at least a point today we deserve to go down."

16.35 - City make a double substitution Carney and Gow on for Bertrand and Hoolahan, who gets a pretty hostile reception from the gleeful home fans, baiting their former favourite as he trudges off the pitch.

16.33 - Heartbreak for Norwich as a brilliant goal from Charlie Adams  doubles Blackpool's advantage. Darel Russell has three chances to clear his lines but the swirling wind sends each clearance looping skywards. The final one falls to Adams - and he seizes the moment with a sublime chipped effort from 22 yards which sails over the out-stretched hand of Marshall and into the back of the net.

16.33 - 2-0 to Blackpool...

16.30 - DJ Campbell rattles the Norwich post with a firm drive which crashes back off the inside of the upright and is hacked away to safety.

16.28 - Mooney and Hoolahan through some good hassling force the Blackpool defence to concede a corner. It flashes agonisingly across the face of goal eluding various out-stretched boots from players on both sides. Play breaks directly to the other end and a neat through-ball looks to have set Charlie Adam free...but as he winds up to shoot he is brilliantly denied by a bone-crunching but perfectly legal tackle from Jason Shackell.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"4-3-1-2 Maybe we should have started like that"
swindncanary

16.22 - New loan signing David Mooney is on for Croft, an interesting switch. Mooney joins Cort up front. City need to find more penetration and threat from somewhere. At the other end DJ Campbell his a shot a foot over the bar as Blackpool look to score a second killer goal.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"We are getting EXACTLY what we deserve from this game - NOTHING. No guts, no attacking = no win. Subs on and put some goddam effort into it."
jarabe

Your Shout from the Message Board
"you cant keep defending and expect to keep a clean sheet.....................bloody hell."
hamster456

16.15 - Disaster for Norwich. Brett Ormerod is the Seasiders' hero as he drifts out wide on the right and looks for all the world to be shaping up for a cross...instead he blasts an angled drive past the static Marshall and into the far corner of the net. 1-0. City need to find more than they have offered to date from somewhere. They need to dig deep. Now.

16.13 - Today's attendance is 7,505, with 795 in the away end. And I thought 600 coming all the way from Norfolk was impressive. They haven't had too much to cheer so far - and they have less now as Blackpool take the lead...

Your Shout from the Message Board
"I was more thinking of Enrique Iglesias' Hero "i can be your hero baby". Good to see early pressure from the Canaries."
panomania

16.06 - For info I believe BBC Radio Norfolk had technical issues during the first half, which would have affected the commentary they provide for our CanariesWorld service. Hopefully these should have been fixed.

16.04 - Blackpool get the second half underway. No changes for either side as far as I can see.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Pretty pathetic first half - one team fighting to stay up, the other sitting back waiting to concede. Needs to improve - get Carney on for Bertrand and start going forward."
jarabe

15.54 - Gemma and I are keeping ourselves warm chuckling to an image of Panomania swaying from side to side holding a lighter singing 'Did you ever know that you're our heroes...'

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Radio Norfolk are having issues. It good to know we have our heroes Joe and Gemma to keep us up to date with what's going on."
panomania

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Trouble is that this is two teams fighting for their lives - that's what makes it a scrap. I'd love Grounds to score again today. It's his last game for us isn't it?"
LQ555

15.48 -  Ferrari: "Oi lads, this is Blackpool, not Chelsea!". There you go Hamster! The half-time whistle blows and the Blackpool fans applaud their side off the pitch. City have been under the cosh for much of the first half though they have posed a couple of questions on the break themselves. Honours just to Blackpool at the break, although the stats, importantly, show the score to be 0-0.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"somebody needs to tell them this is blackpool not Chelsea"
hamster456

Your Shout from the Message Board
"They sound like a team wanting to avoid relegation, we sound dire! Why the hell arent we up for it?"
jarabe

15.43 - Ironically Adam is himself booked two minutes later for a 'robust challenge' (translation: foul) on Hoolahan.

15.41 - Doherty is shown the yellow card for a foul on Adam which incenses the home supporters.

15.40 - This match is coming to life. Rachubka acrobatically parries a thunderous volley from Grounds from 10 yards as he gets on the end of a cross from Croft, Norwich breaking well.

15.37 - Vaughan is in the thick of it again, earning a free-kick in a very dangerous area for his side after Clingan sends him crashing to the deck. Up steps Adams for the setpiece - great save from Marshall! The City stopper dives low to his right to palm the shot away.

15.36 - The Seasiders go the closest yet to opening the scoring, Taylor-Fletcher contriving to blaze well over the Norwich bar with the goal seemingly at his mercy after Marshall could only tip Vaughan's cross into his path. A lucky escape.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"come on city! blimey my nerves are shot already..."
grahamcity7

15.33 - It's the latter panomania - 4-4-1-1 although Hoolahan is getting well forward, when he can.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"are we playing the 442 or is it court ahead of hoolahoop?"
panomania

15.30 - Oooooh! Crofty advances with the ball and then lets fly with a powerful drive from fully 35 yards which flashes a foot wide of Rachubka's right-hand post. Norwich starting to threaten here.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Pleased that we have managed to withstand that Blackpool spell of pressure, and we now seem to be coming into the game a little. Come on City!"
dazncfc10

15.28 - Cort has a header well-saved by the diving Rachubka, but his effort would not have counted anyway as the offside flag was raised as soon as Lee Croft swung in a useful cross to the big man.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"i would like to see 0-0 at half time and hoolahoop get a hat-trick in the second half!"
panomania

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Surely we can attack this lot?"
hamster456

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Sounds like the team spent too long on the in-flight hospitality - are they aware this is a crunch match?!"
jarabe

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Afternoon All, Best of luck to both the First Team and the Youth Team for this afternoon, I fancy us for a 2-1 win, although Blackpool seem to have made the better start, Come On You Yellows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
dazncfc10

Your Shout from the Message Board
"We are following a pattern here...defending all the time, too nerve-wracking for me."
hamster456

15.18 - This is more like it. Bertrand capitalises on some slack play in midfield by Blackpool. He picks out Hoolahan and the Irish international's shot is deflected just over the bar off the boot of Barker. Clingan swings in City's first corner of the game - and when Cort heads it back into the danger area, Shackell's header was saved on the line by Ruchubka.

15.16 - To be fair LQ I didn't think a card was warranted for that challenge. Meanwhile a rare break by City sees Hoolahan spread the ball wide right to Lee Croft advancing into a promising position, but his attempted shot from 20 yards was charged down by Baptiste. In the next attack a Doherty header is comfortably saved by Rachubka.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"How can a tackle that leaves Wesley with his shin pad hanging out not be a card? Sometimes I wonder if I understand this game at all!"
LQ555

15.13 - The hosts are laying siege to the Norwich net - this time Charlie Adam is left holding his head in his hands after his close-range effort cannons off the thigh of Doherty and behind for a corner.

15.11 - Blackpool go close twice in a minute, first Doherty missing a cross from Ormerod which flashed across the face of the Norwich goal and then Adam's cross just failing to be prodded home by the sliding Taylor Fletcher. Hi Jigster - the ref today is Clive Oliver.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Who is the ref, Joe? CanariesWorld doesn't say who it is any more and Chris Bor-em never mentions who it is either."
jigs69

15.06 - Hi Panomania! All charity gratefully received as always. I'm not actually on my own, my colleague Gemma is here compiling our 'On The Ball' service. City are under a bit of early pressure - there have been four or five useful crosses into the Canary box so far. Thankfully the defence has been equal to the task to date.

Your Shout from the Message Board
"Hi Joe I see ur on you tod today!!!! Will you keep up :-P Well afternoon from sunny Rutland. I'm going for a canaries win 3-0. Blackpools home record leaves much to be desired!"
panomania

15.03 - Danny Coid eludes Bertrand and Grounds on the City left and whips in a dangerous cross which Doherty heads away under pressure. An early warning for the Canaries.

15.02 - City get us underway in their all-black strip. Come on Norwich!

Your Shout from the Message Board
"After a sum total of 2 hours sleep since 7am yesterday I hope the player's nerves are in better shape than mine! Three requests from me today to our team:

1) Keep it tight

2) Don't concede

3) Score!"

LQ555

14.58 - The Blackpool PA announcer is doing his best to crank up the atmosphere amongst a small but passionate crowd here at Bloomfield Road. A giant tangerine flag is being passed across the heads of the Blackpool fans away to our left, where a drum is also banging out the standard football beats. On the far side of the pitch around 600 of the Yellow Army have made the five-and-a-half hour journey from Norfolk and are sitting in a temporary stand completely exposed to elements. What can you say about the Yellow Army that has not already been said - first class as always.

14.52 - Hello and a slightly belated welcome to today's Your Shout feature from a windy and 'bracing' Bloomfield Road, where today City face hosts Blackpool in a crunch match for both teams. Both sides will be desperate to win today as the scrabble for priceless points in the Championship relegation battle continues.

City boss Bryan Gunn has decided to stick with the same starting eleven which battled to a much-needed 1-0 victory away to QPR midweek. The only change sees new loan striker David Mooney come on to the subs bench in place of Cody McDonald.
