WE HAVE TO KEEP BELIEVING - GUNN
DEFIANT City boss Bryan Gunn says he believes the Canaries can still mount a great escape from the relegation zone following their 2-1 defeat away to Swansea.
A goal in either half by Swans strike ace Jason Scotland - the second a penalty - cancelled out Alan Lee's first goal for City since joining on loan from Crystal Palace.
City are in the bottom three and two points adrift of Nottingham Forest after today's results - and Gunn says Monday's game against Watford at Carrow Road (3pm) is now one of the biggest of his career.
Speaking at Liberty Stadium after the game, Gunn told First News: "We were hoping to come here and get something from the game and we got into half-time level with a lot of positives to build on.
"But then just like we did against Sheffield Wednesday we went out and shot ourselves in the foot by allowing them to get in front again. I think we have given away too many penalties this season.
"We tried to make changes and be positive, but our final ball wasn't good enough today and our set-piece delivery, which we have been working hard on, wasn't up to standard.
"It's a dejected dressing room in there. We have simply got to get out there on Monday and try to get three points against Watford. We have got to concentrate on winning that game. There are still a couple of teams in touching distance and I hope people haven't given up because I certainly haven't and my staff certainly haven't.
"It will be down to the bravest team now, the team that really believes it can get out of trouble.
"It's my job and the staff's job to lift morale. I hope everybody realises what a big game Watford is now. Once those players take to the pitch and that first whistle goes they will know they have to do it if they want to be playing Championship football next season."
