CITY can confirm the contracts of midfielders Mark Fotheringham and Robert Eagle have been terminated early by mutual consent.
The contracts of both players were due to expire during the summer.
Fotheringham, 25, joined the Canaries in January 2007 as a free agent having enjoyed spells in Germany and Switzerland. The former Celtic trainee has made a total of 76 appearances in all competitions for the Canaries, scoring four times. The Scotsman was awarded the captaincy under then manager Glenn Roeder.
Robert Eagle has made a total of 12 first team appearances after coming through the Academy ranks at Carrow Road. The natural left-footer has found first team opportunities limited and has not featured at all this season apart from at reserve team level. Eagle made his senior City debut in September 2006, in the League Cup second round victory over Rotherham at Millmoor.

City manager Bryan Gunn commented: "Both players are aware that their best chance of playing regular first team football lies elsewhere.
"Robert Eagle has worked very hard since emerging from our Academy ranks but has found it very tough to break into the first team and this gives him the chance to focus on new challenges and kick-start his career.
"Mark Fotheringham also wants to play first team football and again with this news he now has the opportunity to secure a place with another club.
"I'd like to wish them all the best in their future careers on behalf of everyone at the Club."
