CITY FIGHTING FIT FOR SATURDAY

Posted on: Sat 15 Aug 2009

CITY report a clean bill of health from the Club's training base at Exeter University ahead of Saturday's match with Exeter City at St James' Park.

Former Grecian midfielder Matt Gill hobbled off during the second half of City's 4-0 Carling Cup triumph at Yeovil on Tuesday night but is in contention for a place against his former employers on Saturday.

Defender Adam Drury was also withdrawn during the second half at Huish Park but is in the frame to take up the left-back berth on Saturday. Adam picked up a dead leg and took a kick on the ankle but trained today.

Midfielder Owain Tudur Jones has joined up with the squad after being an unused substitute for Wales during Tuesday night's friendly 2-1 defeat in Montenegro. Tudur Jones travelled straight from Cardiff airport to Exeter to reunite with his club team-mates.
