CITY EXTEND FORSTER'S LOAN
CITY can confirm the extension of Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster's loan at Carrow Road until January 2.
The 21-year-old made his City debut last weekend in the 2-0 win over Hartlepool United at Victoria Park, following his switch the day before.
City boss Paul Lambert was impressed with Forster's debut on Saturday and told First News: "He did well coming in on Saturday at very short notice and showed he is a very capable goalkeeper. We needed cover due to Ben Alnwick's injury and we have now extended the loan until January, giving us more options between the sticks."
Earlier this season, the Hexham-born 'keeper had been on loan at Bristol Rovers, keeping two clean sheets in four appearances for Paul Trollope's side.
Last season Forster spent one month on loan with Stockport County, keeping three clean sheets in seven appearances.
