YOUNG City midfielder Tom Adeyemi believes the Club's last two results have shown a fighting spirit which bodes well for the rest of the season - and against Tuesday night's opponents Leyton Orient at Carrow Road (7.45pm).
This season has seen the former Norwich School pupil break into the first team - having made three starts and four substitute appearances so far this season in all competitions. The 17-year-old was an unused substitute for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Gillingham, and from his position on the bench he had a good view of City's late comeback.
"It was really good," he said. "With what happened in the game a point was really good. Watching from the side you could see everyone was tired but it was good to push and get that draw.
"I think we've got really good togetherness as a group. We've got that fighting spirit which we showed against Charlton and then also at Gillingham and I think we've got good quality."
Adeyemi is focussed on continuing his development and pushing for a place in the starting eleven: "I've done a lot of hard work out on the training pitches, obviously to keep in the manger's thoughts. I've been on the bench the last few games and I've been able to get on, but hopefully I'll get my chance.
"It's nice to be around the squad but I really want to get minutes out on the pitch and be involved and show people what I can do."

City have a key injury concern ahead of The O's visit - Jon Otsemobor is struggling with a hamstring injury after Saturday, which resulted in midfielder Korey Smith deputising as right-back for the remaining 50 minutes at the Priestfield Stadium. A situation which might create an opportunity for Adeyemi: "I'm not sure. There's a few injuries, there could be a chance for me to either be on the bench again and come on, or maybe get a start. I'm just hopeful."
This season has signalled a strong contingent of former Academy scholars entering the first team frame - Korey Smith, Luke Daley and Adeyemi all featuring. And this weekend saw another youngster make his senior debut - goalkeeper Declan Rudd coming on as a 33rd minute substitute to replace Daley after the sending off of Fraser Forster in the City goal.
Adeyemi commented: "I think he's a really confident lad around us youngsters and I think he'll do really well. He's got a commanding presence so I think he'll be fine. He made a couple of great saves and I think he showed why he plays for England and why he's able to be the number two goalkeeper at such a young age.
"We all played together last year in the FA Youth Cup and the Academy league so it's great to be able to see some of my team-mates come through and getting chances in the first team."
